When an ostomy produces formed stool, you can flush when needed to maintain the unobstructed flow of stools into the collection bag.

Irrigation Kit Instructions

1. Insert an empty syringe through the blue check valve and withdraw all the water content.
2. Insert the free end of the tube of the irrigation kit through the flange tube, align the bag on the flange after removing the cap and press gently to seal. Pull the tube with the attached valve slightly outward to introduce some air inside the bag , so the bag looks slightly inflated.
3. Insert the same water filled syringe through the blue check valve and empty the syringe, remove the syringe by turning to the left and detaching it.
4. Attach 60 cc syringe filled with lukewarm water to the check valve at the other end of the tube by turning it to the right and slowly empty the syringe, If cramping is felt stop temporarily the irrigation until cramping subsides, you may remove the syringe by turning it to the left and detaching it.
5. Wait for 30 minutes, then remove all water content from the inner balloon by inserting the syringe through the blue check valve and turning it to the right, this allow water and stool return, when discharge is complete remove the bag by pulling it out gently, tug the free end of the tube in the bag , apply the cap on and dispose of it according to your usual health protocol.
6. Use the same water filled syringe inserted through the blue check valve and turn it to the right and empty the syringe, remove the syringe by turning to the left and detaching it ,Clean the skin around the flange and tap on to dry.
